The vision of the restaurant at the Mesnerwirt is to offer guests tasty fare that combines healthy creativity with Mediterranean lightness, all rounded off with typical regional produce.
The finest Italian olive oil is drizzled over leafy green mountain herbs and garden-fresh vegetables. Tangy scents waft from the kitchen into the dining area and fill the entire room with the aroma of carefully selected ingredients. The Mesnerwirt’s restaurant combines Italian elegance with an Alpine ambience to form a tasteful whole that runs like a golden thread through the interior, the cuisine and the service. The vitality of light cuisine is the element that recurs in all the dishes created by head chef Dennis: As South Tyrolean for many years he loves Alpine cuisine, he masterfully produces regional cuisine with a southern touch.
We are very proud to announce that we have been awarded with 2 hoods for the Guide Gault&Millaut 2021 and with 2 forcs for the NEW Falstaff restaurant guide South Tyrol!
Seasonal and regional – these notions are self-evident to the restaurant’s kitchen team, but they bear repetition here. The culinary treasures contained in the menu are evident even before you pick it up from the table: bound in fine, brown leather, the restaurant name “Mesnerwirt” appears on the ochre-coloured border of the pages. To begin there is venison carpaccio, followed by the delights of tagliatelle and black tiger shrimps. You are stranded, high up in Hafling, on a delightful culinary treasure island...
Dennis stands by the dishes he conjures up. He is equally concerned that that they should be as healthy as they are aesthetically pleasing. He is delighted to see asparagus appear in a new and tempting guise in any dish, or fish served up with mixed grilled vegetables. For very special occasions for two, or for a meal enjoyed with friends, you can also be sure that such culinary events will accompanied by the finest wines in the restaurant, whether red, rosé, white or sparkling.
